Nakia’s coach tells us of Nakia’s great attitude and how it helped to make the entire team better: “Nakia was new to the team this year as a Junior and showed a great attitude from day one. She wasn’t always the fastest and didn’t have the best technique but she never let be a reason for her to try her best. This was especially great for the freshmen to see. Nakia missed one practice all year and really showed the entire team what it means to be a leader. Once games started, she was the first girl to the field making sure the field was all set up so that warm-ups could start on time.”
