Dr. Brooke Pengel (MD)
K. Brooke Pengel, M.D., is a board-certified Pediatric Sports Medicine specialist currently serving as Medical Director at Rocky Mountain Pediatric OrthoOne. Dr. Pengel is most known for her focus on providing high-quality, personalized and patient-centered clinical care for her active and athletic youth patients. Dr. Pengel has a passion to serve her community and to help improve the care and safety of youth athletes. Over the last two decades, she has served as a team physician for numerous high schools, and regularly presents lectures to local physicians, coaches, athletes and parents on issues related to the prevention and treatment of youth sports injuries. Dr. Pengel has served at both the national and local level in leadership positions. She has received numerous awards in this field: 2012 Channel 7 as an “Everyday Hero”, 2018 Presidents Award by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers’ Association. Dr. Pengel has fostered a life-long love of sports and tries to encourage this in her patients. As a former competitive tennis player and coach, she relates to the struggles and triumphs of young athletes. She enjoys an active Colorado lifestyle with her husband and three children. One of her favorite things in life has been coaching and watching her children fall in love with sports!
