Chapter Operations Manager, Portland

Janay joined the PCA-Portland Chapter as the Chapter Operations Manager in 2020. In this role, Janay will manage and develop PCA-Portland events, and will oversee and grow the Associate Board for the chapter as well. She will also help administer the Double-Goal Coach® and Triple-Impact Competitor® programs on annual basis, and maintain proactive relationship with partners and clients.

Prior to PCA, Janay attended Pacific University from 1991-93 as a two-sport athlete (women's soccer and basketball). She was a inducted into the Pacific University Hall of Fame, and the team was fully inducted in October of 2019. Later on, she transferred to Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, where she continued as a two-sport athlete in soccer and basketball. She graduated from Whitworth in 1996 with a double major in sports medicine and physical education with a minor in psychology. In 1999, Janay returned to Pacific, earning a Masters in teaching, while also coaching varsity girls soccer, freshman basketball, and teaching middle school PE and Health for 12 years. Afterwards, she attended George Fox University to complete both preliminary and professional school administrator licenses through the educational foundations and leadership program.

Janay has had a wonderful 20-year career in education and is excited for a career that combines her passion for sports and impacting youth.

Outside of work, she loves being active and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Andrew have been together for over 20 years and both enjoy attending sporting events, golfing, camping, and traveling. Additionally, she loves art projects such as crafting and photography.
